Saturday, June 17, 2017 @ 6:54 AM

Prince George, B.C. – The Kinsmen Place facilities of Big Brothers Big Sisters are getting some spit and polish today, thanks to a United Way of Northern BC community initiative.

Six volunteers from RBC Bank will be teaming up with people from the United Way and BBBS to give the organization’s office space a sprucing-up with some fresh paint.  The Community Development Officer with the United Way, Michele Brooke, says they’ll be painting an office, hallway, storage room and washroom between 10 am and 4 pm.

Brooke says Big Brothers Big Sisters will be supplying the paint, RBC the labour to carry out this Day of Caring project.  Days of Caring is an initiative that partners businesses with non-profit organizations to complete projects that otherwise would not get done.

Businesses and non-profits interested in getting involved in a Day of Caring partnership can go to the United Way website at  www.unitedwaynbc.ca to fill out an online application.
