This will cause economic harm, cost us money going forward, and now we have to pay back the feds the money they sent us, But hey we sure showed the provincial government a thing or two! Anyone who voted to repeal the HST is unbelievably stupid.
If the HSR was such a good idea then why were we lied to.
Right, we should have continued to cow down to a bunch of politicians that refuse to do as their constituents want them to do. IN the long run, it won't matter which way the vote turned out, they are still going to gouge us one way or another in order to line their own pockets or the pockets of their big-business buddies. Dear Mr. Headshake; did the world come to an end before the HST? Too bad people like you cannot grasp the concept of democracy!
Headshake do you believe the majority? If you don't then perhaps itis time to give your own head a shake!
The "majority" in Lakes District voted to leave the HST as it was. They're smarter than the rest of this Province.
I honestly don't have an issue with having to pay more taxes because it is a reality in these hard economic times. If we want to maintain current services and benefits, this is a no-brainer. And as individuals, we must exercise self control and manage our finances responsibly. I also expect the same for the party in power.
What I do have a problem with is the public was not informed during the last election that the HST was coming. And when it did arrive, the delivery of the information was so poor it confused and frightened people. And this leads to feelings of deceit and anger.
I expect honesty, transparency and accuracy from our elected officials. Perhaps my expectations are too high.
