Theatrical Presentation Celebrates 100 Years of Forestry

Prince George, B.C.- This years marks the 100th year the BC Forest Service has managed most of B.C.’s forest and rangelands ecosystems.
 
To help celebrate the centennial, the Other Guys theatre company out of Victoria, will be taking a special forestry tribute to communities throughout B.C. Prince George is scheduled for a show this fall.
 
The show, "Good Timber - Songs and Stories of the Western Logger” has been inspired by the poetry of Robert E. Swanson.
 
The show's singers, musicians and actors perform against a multi-media backdrop that features rarely seen images from the BC Archives.
 
The Province has provided a $50 thousand dollar grant to the theatre group to take this show on the road.
