Spruce Kings Re-Schedule Chilliwack Games
By 250 Sports
Prince George, B.C. - The Spruce Kings have rescheduled the two home games that had to be cancelled because of pending job action by City workers.
The Spruce Kings will host the Chilliwack Chiefs on Sunday night December 15th at 7pm and again Monday night December 16th at 7pm in the Prince George Coliseum.
Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes spent most of the day in talks with CUPE Local 399, the City of Prince George and the Chilliwack Chiefs to come up with the rescheduled dates and times to play the games.
“We are very pleased to be able to get these games in,” said Spruce Kings Communications Director, Ron Gallo. "We want to thank all involved for making this happen and look forward to playing the Chilliwack Chiefs in our home arena Sunday and Monday night."
“Sunday’s game at 7pm will be the “Drop the Gloves and Sock it to ‘Em” game,” continued Gallo. “We are once again inviting fans to bring new gloves, socks and toques in plastic bags that can be thrown on the ice when the Spruce Kings score their first goal of the game. Non-perishable food items are also being accepted as donation items for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.”
The Spruce Kings would also like to apologize for any inconvenience that the rescheduling of games may cause. Please note that tickets printed with the December 14th game will be honoured Sunday night and tickets dated for December 15th will be used on Monday night.

um maybe they are agreeing to let the game go on because it is "drop the gloves and sock it to em" night. Something they can relate to. LOL.
Is the union boss going head to head at centre ice with the mayor or the city manager? Could draw quite the crowd. All the proceeds to the salvation army?
They are usually at 3 pm.
Ron Gallo--please confirm.
